Comexi discontinues gravure business
The Spanish press manufacturer Comexi has decided to focus its efforts on the sales and design of flexo, offset, lamination and slitting equipment. As a consequence, Comexi will divest its rotogravure business and will concentrate its efforts to develop innovative solutions for flexible packaging such as offset and digital.

Pozzoni acquires Eurogravure
Elcograf has acquired NIAAG and Eurogravure, after they were bought out from Bavaria Arti Grafiche Holding by an Italian consortium. Thus the three largest remaining Italian gravure printing plants, in Verona, Melzo and Treviglio, all now belong to the Pozzoni Group.
The ERA project “Digital Quality Management in Decorative Gravure Printing” has led to a successful New Work Item Proposal ballot of ISO Working Draft WD 22909 “Decorative prints – Preparation of laminate samples for appearance assessment”. This draft will now be taken through further stages of comment, discussion and revision in ISO/TC 130/WG 4.
